Born and raised on the central Mediterranean Island of Malta, Timmy Gambin developed a passion for three things that are well represented on this historic isle: sea, architecture and light. Self taught, Timmy is still based on Malta but travels extensively throughout the Mediterranean where he strives to photograph various aspects of this wonderful area. With his passion and knowledge of Mediterranean history and culture, he endeavours to capture the architecture, people and maritime culture of the Middle Sea. He also specializes in abstract photography, using light and shadow to reduce subjects to their bare minimum. Photographs by Timmy have been exhibited both in Malta and overseas and he has also contributed to magazines, online publications and books.
