Daniele Duella and Iango Henzi are a Paris-based photographer duo. Daniele left conventional studies and started his photographic career when he was thirteen. Iango started his career as a classical dancer, working with choreographers such as Serge Golovine, Ivan Dowski and Peter Hawkes.
They met in Italy in 2000 and joined the forces of their different backgrounds and sensibilities to create a unique approach to contemporary fashion photography, thus developing a highly recognizable iconic style. Uncompromising perfectionists with a keen eye for detail, balance and movement, they seek aesthetic perfection, graphic precision and extreme elegance.
Their very first collaboration was presented in Italy to D Magazine (La Repubblica) in 2001 and instantly made the cover. They worked together ever since. In 2004 they signed a contract with CLM (Camilla Lowther Management) in London. In 2006 they moved to Paris to be represented by Arums Gallery.
Between 2005 and 2007 they collaborated with French painter and sculptor Philippe Pasqua creating a series of photographs based on the theme VanitГ©s. Daniele and Iango specialize in film. They choose to use very little retouching and digital postproduction, a real countertendency in the digital age. They prefer to produce very large prints (1.80 x 2.80 m) Daniele and Iango’s work has been published in magazines such as Vogue Spain, D Magazine La Repubblica, Flair, Dazed & Confused, AnOther Magazine, I-D, 10 Magazine, InStyle, Saturday Telegraph Magazine and The Economist UK. They have produced photographs for the advertising campaigns of Anteprima, Patrizia Pepe, Akris Punto and Jasmine Di Milo.
